Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City or known as “Sai Gon” is a very unique city for me. I was originally from here and this city might be completely chaotic for others. It is because this city has street food vendors everywhere, night life and other entertainment activities. Unlike Ha Noi, people in Ho Chi Minh City absolutely crazy with spending and known for beer consumption. It is for sure will be more suitable for more energetic travelers.
Time to Visit Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City only have 2 season which is hot and hotter!
Well, I mean dry and raining. The dry season is from Jan-Apr which is again fall in the time that I recommend to visit Vietnam overall. Personally, I will prefer end of Mar or beginning of Apr as many people have work which ends during this fiscal year.
How to get to Ho Chi Minh City
Really, to get here you only have 1 option that is taking the plane. Depending where you come from, you might be able to take the sleeper bus as I always mention through out my blog at other popular Vietnam Tourism Places that you can refer to.
There are couple airlines that flight to Ho Chi Minh City if you are taking domestic flight, some of the airlines are VietJet and Jetstar. I personally do not like domestic flights in Vietnam. I will post a details my experience of taking domestic flights later on if there is demand for this.
If you arrive directly to Ho Chi Minh City from your country, then usually I purchase from China airline or Vietnam Airline as they offer the cheapest plane ticket as well as having the least layover time.

Ngọc Hoàng Pagoda
Located right at the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, the Jade Emperor Pagoda is very old structure. It is also known as one of the places that the former US president Obama has visited.
Ánh Sao Bridge
Ánh Sao bridge AKA “star light” bridge is an amazing bridge at Ho Chi Minh City. It is lovely at night. You can see how much people will come here to visit during night time.
In case you want to practice your motorbike skills, you can rent a motorbike to drive to Can Gio 30km South of Ho Chi Minh City. You can find a lots of cheap seafood selections here. Warning that in here, it almost has no tourists, so you might have trouble communicate in English. Time to practice your Vietnamese basics or hand languages.
